Behind the locked doors of Woodlawn Cemetery’s mausoleums lie over twelve hundred stained-glass windows, chronicling stained glass in America from the late 1870’s to the late 1920’s. Since 2020, a team of conservators and curators has been surveying the collection. Sophia discusses the process of researching and attributing mausoleum stained-glass windows, discoveries from the survey, and the value of partnership between conservation expertise and historic research.
