Linda Chaffee will illustrate the progression of Chickamauga (Georgia) from a battlefield to the first Civil War military park. Her focus will be on the development of the Ohio monuments and we will discover the reason for the unusual acorn monument. Also included will be a quick look at the unique monuments made by the Smith Granite Company that are on this less well-known battlefield.
